Honda Reveal Pokémon Koraidon Motorcycle
Introduced at Honda Welcome Plaza Aoyama in Tokyo, Japan in March 2025, Honda reveals its new Pokémon Koraidon themed motorcycle with hands, face, eyes, and feet that each move as the vehicle speeds away. Launched under the Honda Koraidon Project and in collaboration with The Pokémon Company, the main feature of the Honda Pokémon Koraidon motorcycle is the balance control technology. With Honda Riding's known Riding Assist technology, the bike can stand on its own without unfolding the kickstand, meaning, the two-wheeler can balance itself if the rider momentarily takes their hands off the handlebars. With the bike themed in this manner, Honda really bring the video game character to life.
Introducing Pokémon Scarlet
Pokémon Scarlet is one of the main entries in the Pokémon series, released in November 2022 for the Nintendo Switch. Developed by Game Freak, it's part of the ninth generation of Pokémon games, alongside its counterpart, Pokémon Violet. With open-world exploration, unlike previous titles, Pokémon Scarlet offers a fully open-world experience where players can explore at their own pace. The game features towns, wilderness, and challenges with minimal restrictions on progression. Based in the Paldea region, the setting is inspired by the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal), filled with diverse environments like beaches, mountains, and cities. Koraidon, here, is the legendary Pokémon exclusive to Scarlet, acting as a companion that you can ride across land, water, and even scale cliffs.
About The Koraidon Motorcycle
The Honda Pokémon Koraidon motorcycle is true to the weight and size of the character. Honda Racing have published that their dedicated team have worked day and night to fine tune the design so that it is reprodced almost to the fullest and with attention to design details such as the facial features. The design team wants viewers, and the riders themselves, to feel as if they were meeting the real Koraidon in person.
Because of its backstory, the physical features of the Honda Pokémon Koraidon motorcycle move. The character in the video game can also take the protagonist on a ride to various places. The best way the company puts it into reality is by turning Koraidon’s ability into an actual two-wheeler. There’s no news yet on the specifications of the motorcycle, but fans can currently see the real-life model of the Honda Pokémon Koraidon motorcycle at the Honda Welcome Plaza Aoyama in Tokyo, Japan.
Koraidon’s design already resembles a powerful, rugged motorcycle with its wheel-like chest and strong, mechanical look. This Honda bike modified to match Koraidon's style includes:
- Red bodywork with white and blue accents to mimic Koraidon's vibrant color scheme
- Spiked and scaled details resembling its armored, prehistoric look
- LED lighting effects for glowing eyes and patterns inspired by its energy aura
- Custom tires with tread resembling Koraidon's clawed feet for an aggressive look
- Handlebars styled like Koraidon's spiked headpiece to add flair
