A Cancer Charity Of Glassware

Glass and Cancer are very similar, though not wanting to explain that they're comparable on any level other than metaphorically, both glass and cancer are both simultaneously strong and fragile. Luminaire is a pioneering voice in contemporary furniture design, and celebrating it's fifteenth year, their 4th fundraising auction is in aid of cancer research; as you might therefore expect, the topic for all furniture is therefore glass.

Founders of Luminaire, Nasir and Nargis Kassamali are hosting GlasLove and have partnered with auction house Phillips to sponsor an online and live auction to benefit the good cause. Reflecting the spirit of those battling cancer and as such a material of choice for the fourth edition of Luminaire's "Love" auction, the duo are driven by their desire to give back and help find a cure. Featuring some of the world's top designers and manufacturers, the auction's roster includes Nendo, Marcel Wanders, Glas Italia, Naoto Fukasawa, Nao Tamura, Lasvit and Venini, and one-off limited edition works that are solely made from the quartz material are on offer.
